How it all started...
On Sunday, April 8, 1948, nineteen people gathered in a small abandoned church down the street from our current location. These 19 people felt a call on their lives to reach the city of Cabot for Christ. Even through the hard times, they felt the strong empowerment to win the lost and a passion for helping others become more like Jesus.
Expanding the vision...
After a devastating fire in 1972, God provided a way for Mount Carmel
to purchase the land we now have. God grew the church by bringing children and students, young families, and senior adults to carry out the mission of Mount Carmel. We believe that God uniquely positioned us to make a difference in Cabot.

Where we are headed...
We see Cabot as our Jerusalem. We believe that we are to carry out the same message of salvation that motivated our founders. God has focused our vision and fueled our journey to carry out our continued call to reach our city, love our community, and build His church.
